The Flood Tragedy in South Eastern Kentucky

 As I look at posts from my friends and family I grew up around surfacing on social media, I am horrified by the destruction Mother Nature has formed. I know everyone is acting like this force of nature never happens down there, but my papaw told me about how his dad lost his entire family to a flood before my papaw was born. He said it happened in the 1930s and so many lives were lost.  The last time I visited South Eastern Kentucky, majority of the places I knew were gone or abandoned. Time destroys everything. I feel that when I visit there again, I'm not going to recognize the area at all.  I'm still in shock with how bad the area looked prior. I can only imagine how it will look once they start to rebuild. I hope their governor actually gets the help they need.  I'm looking at pictures of roads I've walked and road on. August 2022 Dinner Menu Plan

 Here I am on time for my menu plan for next month. Typically I scramble last minute to put it together. This month I hopefully be able to follow it since I prepared in time. If I don't get it prepared in time, I tend to not follow it all the way through and just pick and choose. Some of these are return favorites of mine, and some of these are new.
